PLAYTIME
I am sitting on the deck of a lovely lakeside home in Meredith, NH as I write. The hot and humid weather has finally broken and given way to a dry, cool and breezy couple of days that are just wonderful after the recent heatwave. The summer Sunday boating activity is nice to watch and Ben is enjoying laying at my feet snoozing after a morning of playing with his new best friend, Buddy. Buddy is about two years old to Ben’s 14 and is of uncertain heritage but I have offered to eat my hat if there is not some border collie in him. He is the same size and temperament as Ben and they seemed to instantly bond and are pretty much inseparable now.
Last night my hosts had a function to attend and so I gallantly [hah] volunteered to dogsit while they were out. Ben refused to act his age and continually went to wake the dozing Buddy and then play. It was a very long time before they both crashed, completely exhausted. I managed to catch a little video clip and will now attempt to post it here. First for me!
