A NEW HIP, A NEW BEGINNING
Somebody was not a happy camper when the alarm sounded at 06.00 today! He is not really a fan of early mornings and after a Saturday of being on really good form he clearly thought he had earned extra time in bed. Demonstrated by the fact that he let me go all the way to the kitchen without him in attendance, make his breakfast and then have to call him to come eat. Not exactly our usual morning routine.
A long hot day on the road with heavy traffic on the QEW meant we did not roll up to our hotel until 18.20 after covering 503 uneventful miles. After feeding Ben, freshening up and making a grocery run to Kroger I decided it would be as well to reconnoitre the route to the hospital for the appointment tomorrow. Glad I did, the nav sent me on a very circuitous route that had me in ever decreasing circles but never actually arriving at 601 Vernon L Tharpe Street - a rather large amount of construction clearly postdates my nav CD so it was completely confused. But we made it anyway, went and checked where we should check-in tomorrow and headed back to the hotel.
