I saw some of Dean's work earlier this year and purchased a piece. Every visitor to my house loved it. So I took the logical step of commissioning a piece of my dear departed Ben. Ben had a beautiful habit of rescuing small songbirds that flew into the big picture windows at our lake house. He would hear a 'thump' and then be desperate to go outside, find the stunned bird and gently carry it to the deck. There he would stand guard over the bird until it recovered and flew away. He did this literally dozens of times. I asked Dean to include a small bird in the study. To say I'm thrilled would be an understatement.
